Die monumentale Pforte zur Akropolis — fünf parallele Marmortore erbaut 437–432 v. Chr., immer noch der Eingangspunkt für Besucher heute. Die Rampe aus abgenutztem Marmor, die vom Pfad heraufführt, ist original. Gehen Sie langsam.

Acropolis site hours shown are 1 April–31 August; the official site lists earlier closing from 1 September (19:30, then 19:00, 18:30 and 18:00 by 16–31 October) and 08:00–17:00 from 1 November to 31 March. Last admission is 20 minutes before closing. Checked on the Hellenic Heritage site, 11 October 2026.
