Le summum de l'architecture grecque classique — un temple dorique dédié à Athena construit de 447 à 432 av. J.-C. sur le point le plus élevé du rocher de l'Acropolis. Malgré 2 500 ans de séismes, de guerres et l'explosion d'un canon vénitien en 1687, les vestiges restent extraordinaires.

Seasonal. Acropolis site hours shown are 1 April–31 August; the official site lists earlier closing from 1 September (19:30, then 19:00, 18:30 and 18:00 by 16–31 October) and 08:00–17:00 from 1 November to 31 March. Last admission is 20 minutes before closing. Checked on the Hellenic Heritage site, 11 October 2026.
